Behind the doors of a stately Victorian house in the heart of Research Triangle Park, Dr. Boyce Byerly, a scientist with four graduate degrees, and Gene Pease, a seasoned business leader with 18 years of experience as a CEO, took the skeleton of a previous company and began to envision a new business.
In 2004 Pease and Byerly, with the support of six private investors, acquired the assets and intellectual property of New Course Education, Inc., makers of ProCourse® ROI. They recognized the similarities between evaluating and isolating the impact of a drug in a clinical trial and evaluating learning initiatives. This realization sparked the idea of a new paradigm in performance measurement.
Grounded in this vision, Capital Analytics was born. Today the company is regarded as a pioneer in innovative methods and robust technologies that measure and isolate the impact of previously “unmeasurable” human capital investments such as training, leadership development, social networking and employee engagement.
